## Description

I developed an intense passion for speedcubing during grades 7-9 (2021-2024), dedicating myself to mastering the Rubik’s cube and related twisty puzzles. Through systematic practice and memorization of over 100 algorithms, I improved my 3×3 solve time from 2 minutes to under 10 seconds. At the peak of my training, I practiced 700-800 solves daily, spending 3-4 hours in continuous focused sessions.

I actively participated in numerous local cubing competitions, earning awards and connecting with fellow cubing enthusiasts. I attended professional events featuring world champions and top-10 ranked competitors, meeting them personally for photos and conversations. As a dedicated enthusiast, I had the unique opportunity to visit the factory of GAN, the world’s most renowned cube brand, where I met the founder and provided user experience feedback on their products. I collected a complete set of limited edition cubes and memorized every GAN model released before my ninth grade year.

Beyond personal achievement, I demonstrated leadership by founding cubing clubs at two different schools, where I organized activities and taught numerous club members how to solve the Rubik’s cube. In total, I successfully taught well over 30 people—including friends, adults, and children—the skills to solve various puzzles. I also explored related puzzles including various shaped cubes and sliding number puzzles, deepening my understanding of spatial reasoning and algorithmic problem-solving. When seeking advanced coaching, I discovered that many instructors could not match my solving speed, demonstrating my self-taught mastery. While I now practice occasionally when time permits, the experience cultivated exceptional focus, pattern recognition, and perseverance that continue to benefit my academic and personal pursuits.
